Ik ben geboren en getogen in Rotterdam (1976). Na mijn geneeskunde opleiding aan de Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht ben ik gepromoveerd op het gebied van kraakbeenregeneratie naar aanleiding van wetenschappelijk onderzoek aan de Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN USA), IsoTis (Bilthoven) en Afdeling orthopedie UMC Utrecht. Nadien specialiseerde ik mij verder tot orthopedisch chirurg in het UMC Utrecht en St. Antonius Ziekenhuis.
Sinds 2012 ben ik werkzaam als orthopedisch chirurg in het St. Antonius Ziekenhuis (Utrecht), waar ik mij bezighoud met knie- en schouderaandoeningen in de breedste zin van het woord. De setting van dit ziekenhuis biedt mij de mogelijkheid om complexe operaties rond de knie en schouder te doen (zoals multi-ligamentaire reconstructies en revisiechirurgie van gefaalde gewrichtsprotheses). Bij Acibadem ga ik mij concentreren op sport-orthopedische letsels van de schouder en knie (bijvoorbeeld kruisbandletsels, meniscus- en kraakbeenproblematiek en schouderinstabiliteit) en de behandeling van artrose middels gewrichtssparende (gedeeltelijke gewrichtsvervangende operaties en standscorrecties) en gewrichtsvervangende operaties (schouderprothesiologie).

Sport-orthopedie: met specifieke expertise in schouder- en knieletsels (bijvoorbeeld voorste, achterste kruisband, en collateraalband reconstructies, meniscus- en kraakbeenchirurgie. Herstel van peesletsels en schouderstabiliserende ingrepen)
Artrose zorg: Gewrichtssparende en gewrichtsvervangende operaties (Bijvoorbeeld Unicondylaire knieprothese en standscorrecties)
