As a vascular internist I am mainly concerned with the various aspects of cardiovascular risk management, such as high blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes but also thrombosis, coagulation disorders and vascular inflammation. I believe a good doctor-patient relationship is very important and I always put a lot of energy into this. For me, this means listening carefully, explaining, and deciding in consultation with patients which examination or treatment is or is not necessary.
