Dr. Weil heeft geneeskunde gestudeerd aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, vervolgens heeft hij zijn opleiding Urologie afgerond aan de Universiteit van Utrecht. Zijn werkervaring is verrijkt door als arts in Zambia te werken en zich te verdiepen in een extra specialisme: kinderurologie in Great Ormond Street Hospital in Londen. Voor de stichting Stef Foundation, opereerde hij gedurende meer dan 20 jaar tientallen kinderen met aangeboren urologische afwijkingen in Bali, Indonesië. Na enkele jaren gewerkt te hebben als Associate Professor en opleider in het Maastricht Universitair Medisch Centrum, promoveerde hij als één van de eerste in de wereld in het jaar 2000 op het onderwerp over Sacrale Neurostimulatie bij blaasfunctiestoornissen.
