After completing my training in Anesthesiology with a subspecialty in Pain Medicine, I have been working as a Consultant Anesthesiologist and Pain Specialist at Alrijne Hospital since 2016.
In addition to my clinical practice, I have held several leadership and educational positions within the hospital, including Director of the Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine Residency Program, Chair of the Pain Management Center, and Chair of the Neuromodulation Working Group. I obtained my PhD from the University of Amsterdam with a dissertation entitled Therapeutic Strategies for the Protection of Renal Oxygenation in Experimental Models of Acute Kidney Injury. I am also certified as a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) and Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist (CIPS), internationally recognized qualifications demonstrating advanced knowledge and technical expertise in interventional pain management.
