Ik ben een orthopedisch chirurg met een brede, mensgerichte visie op het bewegingsapparaat. Ik kijk niet alleen naar een gewricht of MRI-uitslag, maar naar de mens als geheel. Hoe iemand staat, beweegt en compenseert beïnvloedt het ontstaan en voortbestaan van klachten en de belastbaarheid van het lichaam. Mijn specialisatie ligt bij heup- en rugproblematiek, waarbij de onderlinge samenhang, het hip-spine dilemma, centraal staat.
Ik werkte binnen het OCON als wervelkolomspecialist en deed ik ruime ervaring op met complexe heupaandoeningen, revisiechirurgie, GTPS/slijmbeursproblemen en second opinions. Mijn expertise omvat heupklachten door artrose, heupdysplasie, posttraumatische afwijkingen en weke-delenklachten, waaronder vaak de onderbelichte pees- en slijmbeursproblemen. Ik heb speciale aandacht voor heupklachten bij sporters en patiënten jonger dan 50, waarbij leeftijd de oorzaak en behandelwensen beïnvloedt, met behoud van functie en belastbaarheid als uitgangspunt.
Op het gebied van heupprothesiologie werk ik met de minimaal invasieve Direct Superior Approach voor een sneller herstel en minder complicaties. Binnen Acibadem zal ik mij richten op heup- en weke-delenproblematiek, en binnen het wervelkolomteam op complexe en revisiechirurgie. Samen met de patiënt bepaal ik zorgvuldig de meest passende behandeling voor de individuele situatie.
Specialisatie / aandachtsgebieden
Rugchirurgie: Behandeling van degeneratieve, traumatische, oncologische en infectieuze aandoeningen van de wervelkolom. Expertise in minimaal invasieve technieken, waaronder spinale endoscopie.
Heupchirurgie: Reconstructieve ingrepen voor zowel articulaire als niet-articulaire heupaandoeningen, inclusief revisiechirurgie en heupartroscopie.
Second Opinions: Uitgebreide evaluatie en begeleiding van patiënten met complexe heup- en rugklachten.
