Ahmet Kinaci is geboren en getogen in Amsterdam. Na een jaar Economie en Rechter te hebben gestudeerd aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, besloot hij toch Geneeskunde te doen aan dezelfde universiteit. Hij heeft zowel zijn Bachelor als Master Geneeskunde met cum laude afgerond. In zijn Master heeft hij een jaar onderzoek gedaan in Massachusetts General Hospital verbonden aan Harvard Medical School te Boston. Vervolgens heeft hij zijn promotietraject succesvol afgerond aan Universiteit van Utrecht. Direct daarna is hij aan zijn opleiding tot oogarts begonnen in het Oogziekenhuis Rotterdam. Na zijn opleiding heeft hij nog een fellowship gedaan in hetzelfde ziekenhuis en zich verder gespecialiseerd in oculoplastische-, traanweg- en orbitachirurgie. Naast zijn werkzaamheden binnen Acibadem ICM, behandelt hij mensen die van hun bril af willen in Visus Oogkliniek.
