In 2010 I completed my medical studies at the University of Groningen. In 2018 I completed my specialization as a pulmonologist at the University Medical Center Groningen. From 2018 to 2022, I gained work experience as a general pulmonologist in various hospitals and parts of the country.
In addition to working as a pulmonologist, I teach medical students and general practitioners and conduct scientific research to improve diagnostics in patients with lung disorders (especially in combination with sleep apnea).
With great enthusiasm, I started at Acibadem IMC in January 2023, where I work in a hospital with short lines of communication and a strong focus on patient-centered care. I actively involve patients in the entire treatment process, from diagnosis to treatment, which increases their autonomy and the likelihood of successful outcomes.
Since 2025, I have specialized in sleep apnea and have obtained the European title of Somnologist.
