Gaby Weiss studied medicine at the University of Amsterdam, where she obtained her doctor’s degree in 1995. As an agnio she worked for more than a year at the BovenIJ hospital in the general surgery department. In 1997 she started her studies in dentistry at the ACTA (Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam) and finished this in 2002. During this study she worked part-time as an advisory physician in the context of the Facilities for the Disabled Act.
She was trained as an MKA surgeon at the LUMC (Leiden University Medical Center, Prof. van Merkesteyn) and the Spaarne hospital (former Kennemer Gasthuis in Haarlem, Prof. Becking). After completing her specialization at the end of 2006, she worked for a year at Bronovo and the Slotervaart Hospital. In 2008 she joined the jaw surgery department, which was affiliated with BovenIJ and the former Slotervaart hospital. From 2015 until the closure of MC Slotervaart in October 2018 she was Head of the Department of MKA Surgery. She has been working at the Acibadem International Medical Center since 2018, where she mainly focuses on dento-alveolar surgery.
