As an orthopaedic surgeon, I am passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes when performing hip, knee, and shoulder replacements. I treat patients receiving a joint replacement for the first time, as well as those experiencing issues with an existing replacement (revision surgeries).
The latter I perform primarily at HMC The Hague, a top-clinical hospital where I deal weekly with complex cases related to osteoarthritis (joint wear and tear) and joint replacements. At Acibadem, my focus is on ensuring the optimal placement of primary (first-time) joint replacements.
Thanks to my experience at HMC and extensive background elsewhere, I am up to date with the latest medical insights and various surgical approaches, such as the anterior muscle-sparing approach for hips. I also have in-depth knowledge of different prosthetic options and potential challenges in joint replacement surgery. I know how to minimize risks, anticipate complications, and tailor care to each individual patient.
Through this rich experience and a continuous focus on the latest medical developments, I know exactly what is needed for a successful treatment. At Acibadem, I take the time to listen and guide you, so you can enter your treatment with peace of mind and return home fully satisfied.
