I studied Medicine at the University of Bucharest in Romania. I completed my training as a gynaecologist at, among others, UMC Utrecht and St Elisabeth Hospital in Tilburg. Over the past 23 years, I have worked as a gynaecologist at Groene Hart Hospital in Gouda, where I have focused in particular on pelvic floor problems, minimally invasive surgery — such as laparoscopy — oncology, and benign gynaecology.

I am a dedicated, approachable and sensitive gynaecologist: realistic, involved, and genuinely attentive to what each patient shares. For me, careful listening is the foundation of good care.

Together with the patient, I look for the most suitable treatment, for recovery and for resilience. I always do my utmost to see every person as a whole: not only the complaint, but also the person behind it. I believe it is important to get to the heart of the matter together and to find the solution that best fits the individual.

Culture, background, wishes and a sense of autonomy all play an important role in this. I aim to work openly and honestly, with respect for each person and for what matters to them.

In my work, I set high standards for myself. I do not take shortcuts, but always strive to act with care, authenticity and expertise. I practise my profession with passion, intuition, depth and tenderness.

With attention to language, culture, personal history and background, I do my best to create space for a genuine human encounter.
