After completing my orthopaedic surgery training in the Leiden region, I started working as an orthopaedic surgeon in Spijkenisse in April 2011, and since 2018 also at Maasstad Ziekenhuis. After initially practising the full breadth of orthopaedics, I gradually focused more and more on shoulder surgery. What makes this subspecialty particularly rewarding is the ability to make a real impact on people’s daily functioning. Thanks to ongoing technological developments, more treatment options are becoming available, making this a field that continues to evolve rapidly.
Specialty / areas of interest

Upper extremity surgery, with a particular focus on the shoulder
