In 2022, I completed my training as an orthopedic surgeon. After that, I further specialized in knee problems at the Haaglanden Medical Center. My focus is on (complex) meniscus injuries, ligament injuries, and patellar (kneecap) instability. I am still working there today. Since 2026, I have also been working at Acibadem Rotterdam. In addition to the above-mentioned conditions, I also treat knee osteoarthritis. Treatment options include realignment surgery (osteotomy) or partial or total knee replacement. I have a particular interest in patients who continue to experience symptoms following previous meniscus surgery, the so-called post-meniscectomy syndrome. Alongside my work with patients, I am also involved in scientific research. My research focuses on the outcomes of meniscus transplantation and on expectations and results of knee surgeries, with the aim of further improving treatments and patient care.
