In 2010 I completed my medical studies at the University of Groningen. In 2018 I completed my specialization as a pulmonologist at the University Medical Center Groningen. From 2018 to 2022, I gained work experience as a general pulmonologist in various hospitals and parts of the country. Since 2022 I have been working on the sleep medicine subspecialty, with asthma and COPD as secondary areas of interest.
In addition to working as a pulmonologist, I teach medical students and general practitioners and conduct scientific research to improve diagnostics in patients with lung disorders (especially in combination with sleep apnea).
With great enthusiasm I started at ACIBADEM IMC in January 2023. I look forward to working in a hospital with short lines of communication and where there is also a lot of attention for the patient. I actively involve the patient in the entire treatment process, from diagnosis to treatment. This increases the patient’s autonomy and the chance of successful treatment.
