I have been working here since March 2018. In 2008 I completed my medical degree at the University of Utrecht. For two years I did not work as a doctor in Den Bosch and in the Canisius Wilhelmina Hospital in Nijmegen (CWZ). In 2011 I started my training as a surgeon (CWZ / Radboudumc). I completed my education in October 2016.
I worked as a fellow colorectal surgeon for six months at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). Then I worked for about 1.5 years as a fellow GE / oncology and Bariatric at the Rijnstate Hospital in Arnhem. Now I am working as a gastrointestinal surgeon at the Groene Hart Hospital in Gouda.
For me, shared decision making is an important pillar in the treatment relationship that I take on with the patient. Involving the patient in her / his treatment gives more insight into the process and increases the chances of success.
