As a physician, I’m aware of a patient’s vulnerability in the consultation room. That’s why I strive to create a relaxed atmosphere where patients can share their story. Whether it’s something simple or more complex, I believe that effective treatment begins with careful listening and observation. Feeling heard is the first step towards recovery. I also like to look beyond the patient’s complaint. What exactly causes someone to have trouble sleeping, a headache, or other neurological symptoms? Answering that question often requires a holistic approach. Resolving these issues together and developing a treatment plan gives me great satisfaction.
