I was born in Friesland. On my 17th I left for Amsterdam at the G.U. Studying medicine. After studying medicine, I have been with Royal Marine for nearly 2 years served as assistant surgery in the Marine Hospital in Overveen. After that I have been an assistant neurosurgery for 1 year at the Slotervaart Hospital. Then there was a fascinating and impressive period of 2 years in the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital in the Surgery and ENT departments. In 1985 I started my training as a Radiologist at the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis in Amsterdam. Radiology has developed strongly during this period with new techniques such as CT scan, MRI scan, Angiography with Dotter procedure, Ultrasound with Doppler, and all kinds of puncture techniques.
From 1989 to December 1, 2017 I worked as a radiologist in the Amstelland Hospital in Amstelveen. Here I have given the department of radiology with modernization of the equipment and new research methods. Regular consultation with the referring party I have always found GPs important. As of December 1, I am very enthusiastic started at ACIBADEM. Here, together with colleague Ference Nobrega, I will be the department Radiology design. Customer-oriented and as a support department good contacts maintained with the specialists of ACIBADEM and the referring general practitioners.
