Bassam Hassan is een tandarts gespecialiseerd in orale implantologie, prothetische en restauratieve tandheelkunde. Hij studeerde als tandarts af aan de Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde Amsterdam (ACTA) en hij heeft zijn PhD naar de digitale implantologie planning m.b.v. CBCT aan de vrije universiteit te Amsterdam behaald. Hij beschikt tevens over een master diploma in orale diagnostiek van de katholieke Universiteit Leuven en over een master In Prosthodontics van de Universiteit van Wenen, Oostenrijk. Hij is parttime verbonden als gast hoogleraar prothetiek aan UCM Universiteit te Madrid en Medische Universiteit Wenen. In de afgelopen 12 jaar heeft hij meer dan 50 publicaties in geciteerde internationale tijdschriften geproduceerd en hij heeft meer dan 70 voordrachten in het binnen en buitenland gehouden. In 2017 heeft hij de eerste prijs bij de Europese vereniging van prosthodontie voor zijn onderzoek naar de digitale implantaten planning van edentaten patiënten gewonnen.
